Makayla Epps: Just a kid from Lebanon

-A A +A

Epps graduates college, has high school jersey retired in same week

By Gerard Flanagan

Makayla Epps added another honor to an already long list of basketball accomplishments Saturday at Marion County High School. Epps came back to the Roby Dome to have her jersey retired during a ceremony during the boy/girl doubleheader against the Campbellsville Eagles.
“It’s a crazy feeling,” she said. “Growing up, I never thought much about it. Growing up, I never really knew the impact I would have on the game of basketball or the impact I would have on my city. It’s just an amazing night for me.”
