Make candy with kids

Now that most people have microwaves, the kids can start cooking young without the danger of getting burned. These candy recipes are easy, foolproof, delicious and great for kids to make by themselves.
They’ll have lots of fun, and you’ll get lots of candy. Such a deal!

Fudge Nut Drops
1 (12-oz.) pkg. semi sweet chocolate chips
1 can sweetened condensed milk
1 1/2 c. chopped nuts, your choice (I use pecans)
1 T. vanilla
Melt chocolate chips in microwave.  Add sweetened condensed milk and mix well.  Add nuts and vanilla. Drop by teaspoon onto waxed paper and let cool. Makes approximately three dozen. Store in refrigerator.

Chocolate-Peanut “Spiders”
1 (6-oz.) pkg. chocolate chips
1 (6-oz.) pkg. peanut butter chips
1 (3-oz.) can chow mein noodles
1 c. salted peanuts
Melt chocolate and peanut butter chips in microwave. Remove and stir in noodles and peanuts. Quickly drop by teaspoon onto waxed paper and let cool at least 20 minutes. Makes three dozen.

Heavenly Hash
1 (12-oz.) pkg. chocolate chips (can use white chocolate chips for a different taste)
1 can sweetened condensed milk
1 lb. mini-marshmallows
1 c. pecan halves
Melt chocolate chips in microwave and stir in sweetened condensed milk.  Mix well and add mini-marshmallows and pecans. Mix well and drop by tablespoon onto waxed paper. Chill till firm. Makes three dozen.
