Makeup school days

The Marion County Board of Education recently voted to use Feb. 21, Presidents Day, as a makeup day. So far, 12 days have been missed because of snow, and it's likely more days will be missed before winter is over. Last year, school was out for seven days in February because of snow.

 The school district's leadership team (composed of central office staff and school administrators) has asked the school board to consider using some of Spring Break for makeup days.
