On Oct. 6, 27 students representing FFA and Teen Leadership participated in the 4th annual Farm Tour. The day is designed to educate students about various agriculture businesses in the county. The day began at Todd and Jill Hardin’s farm learning about soybean production. The next stop was Tim Auch’s Serenity Alpaca farm discussing alpaca and fiber production. The third stop was to Bill and John Purdom’s beef farm where the topic was care and management of beef cattle. The day wrapped up at Bill and Susan Mattingly dairy farm learning about dairy cow production and management. A big thank you to all of the hosts for this year’s farm tour in once again making this event a tremendous success.
