Marion County football team presents 2013 season awards

 The Marion County Knights football team held its annual awards banquet on Dec. 18. The Knights, who went 4-7 for the season, received awards for athletics and academics. 

Season titles and letterman awards were also received by individual players for their achievements.


Athletic Awards

Most Defensive Points: Dakota Newcomb

Most Tackles: Dakota Newcomb

Most Sacks: Jack Hagan

Most Tackles for Loss: Jack Hagan

Most Fumble Recoveries: Simon Smith

Most Interceptions: Quamane Johnson

Most Points Scored: Logan Breeding

Most Yards Rushing: Logan Breeding

Most Yards Receiving: Lincoln Haydon

Best Average Per Carry: Justin Dawson

Best Average Per Reception: Jack Hagan

Best OL Grade: Jeremy Gunn

Defensive Most Improved: Quamane Johnson

Defensive Leadership Award: Dakota Newcomb

Offensive Most Improved: Jerrod Marrett

Offensive Leadership: Jeremy Gunn

Special Teams Most Improved: Jalen Powell

Special Teams  Leader-ship: Aldo Perez

All Heartland Athletic Conference: Zack Garrett, DeShay Epps, Mark Owens, Isaac Mattingly, Cameron Nalley and Cody Rogers
