Marion County moving to the First Congressional District

Marion County meet Congressman Ed Whitfield.
The General Assembly on Friday approved a Congressional redistricting plan that moves Marion County from the Second District, which is represented by Republican Congressman Brett Guthrie, R-Bowling Green, to the First District, which is represented by Whitfield, a Republican from Hopkinsville.
State Sen. Jimmy Higdon and State Rep. Terry Mills both opposed the Congressional redistricting plan.
