Marion County Screening Committee to meet April 14

The Superintendent Screening Committee for Marion County Public Schools will meet at 4:45 p.m. at the Marion County Board of Education.

The committee consists of the following individuals:

- Ed Hacker           Board representative

- Brad Mattingly     Parent representative

- Pat Neal              Minority parent representative

- Marilu Farnham    Teacher representative (Glasscock Elementary School)

- Hollie Buckman    Teacher representative (Lebanon Middle School)

- Donna Royse        Principal representative

- Scott Spalding      Director of Transportation and Maintenance

The tentative schedule for the superintendent search is as follows:

April 12                  Superintendent applications close

April 14, 4:45 p.m.  Screening committee meets (closed session)

April 14, 6 p.m.       Joint meeting between board members and screening committee

April 19                   2nd screening committee meeting (closed session)

April 26                   3rd screening committee meeting (closed session)

April 28                   Meeting between the school board and the screening committee

May                        Board interviews candidates

May 20                   New superintendent named
