On Thursday, May 24, Marion Co. FFA students traveled to Casey County to learn about Tarter Farm and Ranch Equipment for their second annual summer agriculture tour. The group learned about the different farm and ranch equipment Tarter’s produces and what it takes to build and market these products. As part of the trip, they also visited one of Donald Tarter’s (owner of Tarter Farm and Ranch Equipment) quality beef operations in Dunnville. David and Michael Sandusky organized the trip, Tom Beaven, Bonnie Mills, Leo O’Daniel, Jerry Lanham, Gary Caldwell and Joe Paul Mattingly cooked lunch and chaperoned. This was an outstanding learning opportunity for the students and made them aware of what Tarter Farm and Ranch Equipment and Tarter Farms do for the agriculture industry.
