Missouri hunter dies of heart attack

A 68-year-old hunter from Missouri died of a heart attack yesterday in Marion County.
Richard L. Garlough of Gainesville, MO, was found in the woods in the Riley area Thursday afternoon, Nov. 15. Moraja said Garlough was found at 5:50 p.m. Thursday, and he was pronounced dead at 6:15 p.m.
"He evidently had a heart attack," Marion County Coroner Dick Moraja said.
Garlough was in town for a hunting trip. When he didn't return to a cabin yesterday afternoon, members of his hunting party became concerned.
Marion County Emergency Management Director Hayden Johnson said he understands the members of Garlough's hunting party found him in the woods and called for assistance.
The Gravel Switch Fire Department, Marion County Ambulance and Marion County Rescue were dispatched to the scene.
