Modern Woodmen fund raiser for local baby is a success

-A A +A

Members of the Lebanon Modern Woodmen of America camp recently helped raise money for Bailey Basham by having a benefit auction and dance at Cozy Corner in Loretto.
The event, held on Dec. 30, 2011, raised $5,000. This includes $2,500 matched by Modern Woodmen’s home office through the organization’s matching fund program. The money will be used for medical expenses for Basham.
The Matching Fund program offers Modern Woodmen camp members nationwide the chance to show their support for a community cause, organization or individual in need by holding fund raisers. Modern Woodmen matches money raised up to $2,500. These fund-raising projects contribute more than $6.5 million to community needs nationwide each year.
Coordinated by local Modern Woodmen members, camps provide opportunities to take part in social activities and community service projects in their communities.
