Bethlehem High School hosted its 6th annual Grandparents’ Day Mass on Tuesday, Sept. 11. More than 200 grandparents joined their grandsons and granddaughters for a reception in the school cafeteria prior to Mass.
Father David Carr celebrated the Mass for the students, their grandparents, faculty and staff. Father Bill Hammer con-celebrated with him. The liturgy was in honor of 9/11, a day of mourning and remembrance.
Each year Bethlehem sets aside one of its monthly Masses for the students to invite some of the most beautiful and important people in their lives, their grandparents. This tradition emphasizes the importance of family in a student’s life and gives relatives an opportunity to learn more about Bethlehem.
