Linda Nally, of Loper’s Floral, recently completed the class “Smart Everyday Design” hosted by Teleflora at its state of the art Education Center in Oklahoma City, Okla. Floral designers from all over North America attended the seminar to sharpen their skills and grow their design abilities.
Nally participated in four days of intensive hands-on design sessions, mastering the latest in creating designs fresh flowers and foliages. Taught by a widely recognized floral artist and instructor, Susan Ayala of Loma Linda, Calif., the students focused on creating container and vase arrangements using the latest techniques. Each student was taught how to add their own touch to their shop’s floral gifts. The students also completed a series of floral assignments designed to give them insights into how to improve their design styles and increase their productivity.
“New ideas create a spark in creative people,” said Marie Ackerman, vice-president of education for Teleflora. “It’s exciting to see designers learning to be their best as a floral artist and sharing insights on what customers want to buy in today’s marketplace.”
Nally received a certificate of completion from the Teleflora Education Center, now in its 27 year of providing advanced floral education, in recognition of the advancements made during this intense hands-on design class.
