New Hope man gets 11 years for rape

Pascal “Pat” Jones, 51, of 130 Willow Springs in New Hope was sentenced to 11 years in prison for first-degree rape.
Jones was sentenced on one count of rape, although his original indictment included numerous charges. He had been accused of first-degree rape (three counts), first-degree sodomy (three counts), first-degree sex abuse (43 counts), first-degree unlawful transaction with a minor under 16 (21 counts), unlawful transaction with a minor under 18 (40 counts), and intimidating a witness in a legal process (two counts) for incidents that allegedly occurred in 1998, 2008, and 2009.

In other court news:
- Byron Anderson, 45, 155 Beechwood Street in Lebanon received five years of probation for flagrant non-support. He was ordered to pay $150 court costs and a $25 bond fee and to pay monthly on child support arrears.
- A case against Kenneth T. Furmon, 43, of 445 Elm Street in Lebanon was closed because he has not been served with his indictment warrant. He was indicted Oct. 27 on charges of  DUI, driving with a revoked or suspended license, marijuana, first-degree promoting contraband and first-degree persistent felony offender.
