Fiscal court approves additional redistricting funds

The Marion County Fiscal Court has completed its plan to realign the magisterial districts based on the 2010 Census. Now, the county needs to adjust its precinct boundaries.

The fiscal court voted Jan. 5 to hire Lincoln Trail Area Development District to adjust the precincts to coincide with the revised magisterial district boundaries. The county agreed to pay Lincoln Trail up to $2,500 to assist the Marion County Board of Elections make the needed changes.
