Preliminary statistics indicate that nine people died in nine separate crashes on Kentucky roadways from Monday, Dec. 6, through Sunday, Dec. 12, 2010.
Four of the crashes involved motor vehicles and three victims were not wearing seat belts. Single-fatality crashes occurred in Grayson, Jefferson, Madison and Perry counties. The crash in Perry County involved the suspected use of alcohol.
One ATV involved fatal crash occurred in Logan County and the victim was not wearing a helmet.
