A Russell Springs man was uninjured after the tractor-trailer he was driving turned over at 4:40 p.m. July 17 near 1920 Liberty Road (Hwy. 49).
Anthony C. Byrd, 41, was driving south July 17 in a 2000 Kenworth pulling a flatbed trailer loaded with wood when the accident happened, according to Marion County Sheriff Jimmy Clements.
The truck got off the edge of the roadway and the load shifted, causing the truck and trailer to turn over, Clements said.
No other vehicles were involved and Byrd was not injured, Clements said. Byrd was driving for Lee Transport of Dunnville.
While the accident did not have much effect on traffic, it did take until 10 p.m. to move the vehicle, according to Clements. Ellis Wrecker Service of Bardstown towed the tractor-trailer. Clements said they are the closest service that can tow vehicles of that size.
