Snowy, icy road conditions caused school to be cancelled Tuesday, Dec. 16, in Marion County. Schools will also be closed Wednesday, Dec. 17.
Kentucky Transportation Cabinet crews are working to combat freezing precipitation that is making driving conditions treacherous. Several county crews have reported heavy freezing rain and sleet.
Some of the heaviest precipitation has been in the counties along the Ohio River. Elsewhere, crews are spot treating trouble areas and are on alert for full mobilization.
