Rakes is the fourth local officer killed in the line of duty

Since 2009, three active duty law enforcement officials have died in Marion County.

Lebanon Police Officer David Ford was murdered by his estranged wife at his home in Campbellsville on Feb. 10, 2009.

Lebanon Police Chief Joe Bell died while undergoing surgery June 6, 2011.

And, on Wednesday of last week, Marion County Sheriff's Deputy Anthony Rakes was shot and killed.
