Three months left for teams to raise walk funds

It’s time for teams and individuals to register for the 2013 Lincoln Trail Walk to End Alzheimer’s. The association’s largest local fundraiser will take place on the morning of Saturday, Sept. 14, at Freeman Lake Park in Elizabethtown.
“Nearly 450 supporters came together and raised more than $27,000 to help reclaim the future for affected family members and loved ones by participating in the Walk to End Alzheimer’s last year,” said Teri Shirk, Executive Director of the Kentucky and Southern Indiana Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association. “Our goal is $36,000 this year, so we are encouraging participants to register early so that they have ample time to raise funds for the September event.”
Participants can register online at act.alz.org or by phone at (502) 451-4266.
