By Jesse Osbourne

The Lady Knights round out the regular season with games against Bardstown (5-13) and LaRue County (13-10) before facing off with Taylor County (13-11) in the first round of the district tournament on Tuesday of next week.

Bardstown is struggling after losing sophomore stand out Daziah Kimberland to injury before the season. The Lady Tigers were on a nine game skid as of press time, including losses to mutual opponents North Hardin (85-30), Nelson County (69-32, 64-29), Washington County (36-33), Green County (56-29) and Danville (41-36).

Tip off is set for 7:30 p.m. at the Roby Dome on Thursday.

LaRue County is playing a bit better but has lost games against teams the Lady Knights have beaten including losses to Nelson County (75-42), Hart County (62-49), Taylor County (50-37, 43-39) and Green County (55-39, 58-43).

Tip off is set for 6:30 p.m. at the Roby Dome on Friday.

Taylor County comes into district tournament play with the fourth seed and will play a Lady Knights team they haven't had much success against yet. The Lady Knights won handily at home (69-26) and on the road (70-34).

Tip off is set for 5:30 p.m. EST at Adair County High School on Tuesday of next week.

Knights finish season against LaRue Friday...

The Knights finish the regular season with LaRue County (19-5) who has cooled off after a hot start.

LaRue County began the season 13-0 then dropped two games in a row to Campbellsville (64-63) and Green County (68-56). LaRue suffered a big loss last Friday night at Taylor County (79-49).

Knights Head Coach Tim Peterson said he expects a tight game to cap off the regular season.

Tip off is set for 8 p.m. at the Roby Dome on Friday.

The Knights begin district tournament play next Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. EST against Adair County at Adair County High School. Check back next week for brackets and game previews.
