On Friday night, the Marion County High School football team traveled across the county line to Bennett R. Lewis field to face the Washington County Commanders in a much anticipated rivalry game. During the first half, the Knight fans were a bit surprised at what they saw as the Commanders dominated and held a 26-7 lead at the half. However, the second half was a complete turnaround from the first, as the Knights outscored the Commanders 16-0 but came up just short at the end.
