The 2009 Marion County Country Ham Days committee is excited to announce partnerships with our first two marquee sponsors for this year's festival.
The Country Ham Jam, held Saturday evening, Sept. 26, live from the Main Stage is in the final planning stages of a rock-and-roll reunion that you are sure to want to attend. Hats off to The Lebanon Tourist and Convention Commission for coming on board as our marquee sponsor for the Ham Jam. Their participation with this event has made it possible for the Ham Days committee to bring back some of the sounds of the 1960s to our area. Contracts are still being completed with our entertainment, but watch for the announcement of the performers at the Country Ham Jam, presented by the Lebanon Tourist and Convention Commission.
Spring View Hospital will, for the second year, be the title sponsor of the Spring View Hospital PIGasus Parade. The parade, which draws approximately 40,000 spectators, will be held Saturday, Sept. 26, at 1 p.m. on Main Street in downtown Lebanon. In keeping with the 2009 Ham Days theme, "Rockin' on 68 since 1969" we expect to see many of the parade participants and floats celebrating 40 years of Ham Days with a nostalgic look back to our first celebration in 1969.
It should come as no surprise that Ham Days exists through the support of volunteers and donations from our community. Everyone is feeling the pinch as funds become less available for charities and local events. The Ham Days committee is so grateful to these marquee sponsors for helping bring a top 10 event to Lebanon this year. If you would like to participate in the success of our 40th year, please contact Stacy Mattingly at the Lebanon-Marion County Chamber of Commerce by calling (270) 692-9594.
