The Marion County Public School System "needs improvement," according to recent test results, and school officials, teachers, school board members and parents began developing a district improvement plan during the annual fall retreat Thursday evening at Marion County High School.
While much of the discussion centered around test scores, Marion County Superintendent Dr. Chuck Hamilton cautioned those in attendance to not become overwhelmed with those numbers.
