St. Catharine College will host “Catholics at the Capitol” Saturday Nov. 10 from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in Pettus Auditorium in the Richard S. Hamilton Health and Science Building. Catholics and other concerned citizens are invited to the event, which will address the Catholic position of key issues coming before the Kentucky General Assembly and the Catholic social teachings and values underlying these positions.
Priority issues to be presented include informed consent and the death penalty, including the severely mentally ill exemption; business tax credit and funding for transportation of non-public school students; and fair Kentucky tax reform.
Participants will also have the opportunity to address issues with local and state legislators.
