A Marion County school bus was involved in a two-vehicle accident at approximately 7 a.m., Thursday, March 14, near the Taylor County/Marion County line, but no children were injured.
The accident occurred nine miles west of Lebanon on US 68.
According to the Kentucky State Police, Goebel R. Morgeson, 81, of Lebanon was driving a 2006 International bus west on US 68 and was attempting a turnabout when he pulled into the path of a 1999 Honda being driven by Burrell Hartley, 50, of Oglethorpe, Ga.
Harley was belted but was taken to Spring View Hospital for minor injuries.
Morgeson was belted and not injured, and the 13 children who were on the bus were also not injured, according to KSP.
According to Marion County Superintendent Dr. Chuck Hamilton, a second bus was brought to the site and transported the students on to school. A few parents living nearby came and transported their children, Hamilton said.
