Sept. 11, 2001 is a day we will never forget.
Each one of us vividly remembers where we were and what we were doing that tragic day when two planes crashed into the World Trade Center.
Those images are forever burned into our memory.
We all remember the shock and disbelief when we heard reports about another plane crashing into the Pentagon. And we can remember the utter fear we felt when hearing about a fourth plane crashing into a field near Shanksville, Penn.
Terrorists had invaded our country, and our world as we knew it would never be the same.
Sunday, Sept. 11, 2011, this country will remember those tragic events that took place 10 years ago. We would like to share some of your memories in The Lebanon Enterprise.
What specifically do you remember about that day?
How has it changed you... your outlook on life... your pride in this country?
What about those of you who share a birthday or wedding anniversary on Sept. 11? Your special day will never be the same. You wake up on your day of celebration to the sound of memorial dirges on the radio or TV. What has that been like for you and how have you dealt with that exactly?
Please send us your memories and thoughts so we can share them in the Sept. 7 issue of the Enterprise. You can email your Sept. 11 memories to News Editor Stephen Lega at firstname.lastname@example.org. We ask that submissions be 400 words or less. If you have any photos or special images regarding Sept. 11, please email those as well.
The deadline to email your submissions is 5 p.m., Friday, Sept. 2.
