Service will be held in Springfield

Six Presbyterian Church (USA) congregations in Marion, Nelson, Taylor and Washington counties are inviting their members and area residents to attend a worship service on Maundy Thursday, March 28. The service of Holy Communion and Tenebrae, an ancient liturgy meaning “A Service of Shadows,” will be held at 7:30 p.m. at the Pleasant Grove Presbyterian Church, 275 Pleasant Grove Loop, Springfield. The church is located off of Highway 555, five miles north of Springfield.
Sharing in the leadership of the service will be The Rev. John Sanderson from the Bardstown Presbyterian Church, Elder Joel Maude, from the Big Spring-Bloomfield Presbyterian Church, The Rev. Jim Murphy from the Campbellsville Presbyterian Church, The Rev. Carrie Mook-Bridgeman from the United Presbyterian Church in Lebanon, The Rev. Clay Stevens from the Springfield Presbyterian Church and The Rev. David F. Johnson from the Pleasant Grove Presbyterian Church, Springfield, in addition to a member of each participating congregation.
