An inmate at Marion Adjustment Center walked away from the private prison during the evening June 8. According to MAC officials, Danny Copeland, 55, was verified missing at 9:44 p.m. June 8. He was recaptured by the Marion County Sheriff's Department at 10:10 p.m. Copeland was serving an eight-year sentence for two counts of second-degree trafficking in a controlled substance. He would have been eligible for parole Oct. 1, 2010, and his scheduled release date would have been Aug. 11, 2012.
