Sheriffs seek help in cattle thefts

Several cattle thefts have been reported from farms in Boyle County, and law enforcement agencies in the area are seeking help in solving the case.

The most recent theft occurred Feb. 2 when 25 head of cattle were taken. These cattle have specialty branding marks with a “V” cut into the right ears.

Anyone with information related to the thefts or the location of the cattle is encouraged to contact either the Boyle or Marion County Sheriff’s Offices.

The Marion County Sheriff’s Office is also reminding cattle owners that these kinds of thefts typically take place at night, but could happen at any time. Anyone who sees suspicious activity should contact law enforcement as soon as possible.
