Shooting victim is in fair condition

Shooting victim Jason Keene, 28, of Lebanon is in fair condition at University Hospital in Louisville. Keene was the victim of an attempted murder and first-degree robbery on Saturday evening, Jan. 8.

The incident occurred at McDonald's, 503 W. Main Street in Lebanon. During the shooting incident, $128 in cash, a Boost Mobile Motorola cellular phone and a key ring with four keys and a UK key chain were stolen from Keene.

According to the police report, Keene was shot in the right side of the head. He was then transported to Spring View Hospital in a private vehicle.

At 8:19 p.m. Jan. 8, someone at the hospital called the Lebanon Police to say that a shooting victim was in the emergency room. Keene was later transported to University Hospital in Louisville.

Sgt. Elisa McHolan is leading the investigation. Anyone with information about the shooting is encouraged to call the Lebanon Police Department at (270) 692-2121.
