Slow down, buckle up: Lebanon police stepping up traffic enforcement

Police have written more than 300 speeding tickets so far this year

Lately, the Lebanon Police Department has been receiving numerous complaints - not just reporting criminal activity - but also because officers have been writing tickets much more frequently.

Through the end of October, the Lebanon Police had written 362 speeding tickets for the year, according to statistics provided by the department. That's more than a 500 percent increase over the 60 speeding tickets Lebanon officers wrote for all of 2008.
