Fall Baseball League
Sign-ups for fall baseball will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. Friday, Aug. 5, at the Little League Concession Stand. Ages are 9-12 for the 2012 Season.

Season passes available
Marion County High School is selling season passes for its sporting events for the 2011-12 year.
A football season pass, which includes five home games, costs $20 ($30 for chair back seating).
A boys soccer season pass, which includes nine home games, costs $35.
A girls soccer season pass, which includes 11 home games, costs $30.
A volleyball season pass, which includes 12 home games, costs $45.

Mini-triathlon is Aug. 6 Bardstown

Lanham Health and Fitness in Bardstown is hosting a mini-triathlon as a back-to-school fitness challenge Aug. 6 in Bardstown.
The event will include a 300-meter swim, 12-mile bike ride and a 5K run. In addition to the mini-triathlon, a 10K run and a two-mile walk will also be held.
The fitness challenge is open to all age groups.
The purpose of the event is to get children, young adults and families back into the “swing of things” with the start of the school year. T-shirts, goodie bags and participation awards are guaranteed for the first 500 entrants.
Awards will be presented to the top male and female for the triathlon and the 10K. Awards will also be presented to the top three males and females in seven age groups. In the two-mile walk, the top three male and female 9 and under will receive awards.
Participants can register up to 15 minutes before the event. Participants can register at Lanham’s Health and Fitness or online at active.com or runningintheusa.com.
The mini-triathlon will begin at 7 a.m. at the Bardstown city pool. The 10K and two-mile walk will start at Lanham’s Health and Fitness. The 10K starts at 8 a.m. and the two-mile walk starts at 8:30 a.m.
