Springfield man indicted on drug charges

A federal grand jury in Louisville recently returned an indictment against John Robert Boone, 65, of 841 Walker Lane in Springfield on charges of manufacturing and trafficking marijuana. The Indictment alleges that on or about May 27, Boone knowingly and intentionally manufactured 1,000 or more marijuana plants and knowingly and intentionally possessed with the intent to manufacture and distribute 1,000 or more marijuana plants. The street value that each plant is capable of harvesting is $1,500 to $2,000 per plant.
