Stars shining bright in Miami

-A A +A
By Gerard Flanagan

The stars were shining bright in Miami. A 34-year old second baseman shined the brightest of them all, lifting his team to an extra-inning win last Tuesday.
In the 88th MLB All-Star Game, Robinson Cano homered off Chicago Cubs pitcher Wade Davis to lead off the 10th inning and the American League team defeated the National League team 2-1 at Marlins Park. The AL clinched its fifth straight victory in the star-studded affair that was dominated by superb pitching instead of powerful slugging.
