Leadership Lebanon-Marion County Class of 2014 is organizing the Anthony Rakes Memorial Fund “Strut Your Mutt” event, which will take place at 11 a.m., Saturday, April 19, in Lebanon.
The starting line will be in front of the David R. Hourigan Government Building. Participants will strut their mutts down Main Street in Lebanon and turn down Walnut Street, come back to Spalding Ave and then finish behind Centre Square. The walk will be approximately two miles through town in memory of Marion County Sheriff’s Deputy Anthony Rakes and his service to the community.
Registration will begin at 9:30 a.m. behind Centre Square. The deadline to pre-register is April 4. T-shirts are guaranteed for pre-registered participants only. T-shirts will be available for purchase while supplies last on the day of the event.
Do you not have a mutt to strut? It’s OK. You can still support this great cause, come out and walk!
Prizes will be given for best dressed, cutest, biggest and smallest dog.
And, most importantly, owners will be responsible to clean up after their pets.
