Sun, warm weather expected for Thunder over Louisville

After a week mostly filled with dreary days and rain, Louisville is expected to see a break in the weather just in time for Thunder Over Louisville Saturday.
There is a chance of rain almost every day this week but Saturday is forecast to be sunny with highs in the 70s. This year's Thunder is expected to be much warmer than the 2013 event, which started the day with temperatures in the 30s and didn't break out of the 50s all day.
Tuesday was forecast to be one of the coolest days of the week with a high of 61 degrees and a low of 38 overnight, the weather service said. There is a 60 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms Tuesday but the rain is expected to clear out by about 11 p.m.
Wednesday is forecast to be sunny with a high of about 64 degrees and a low of 44 overnight.
Thursday should start the day sunny and have a high of about 72 degrees, but there is a 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms overnight when the low is forecast to drop to about 52 degrees, the weather service said.
There is a 50 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms Friday with a high of about 67 degrees and a low of 49 overnight.
Saturday is expected to be partly sunny with a high of about 72 degrees. The clouds should mostly clear out that night when the low drops to about 57 degrees.
There is a 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms Sunday with a high of about 74 degrees and a low of 55 overnight.
There is a 60 percent chance of rain Monday with a high of about 61 degrees.
