Preliminary statistics indicate that 10 people died in 10 separate crashes on Kentucky roadways from Monday, Feb. 7, through Sunday, Feb. 13, 2011.
Seven of the crashes involved motor vehicles and five of the victims were not wearing seat belts. Single-fatality crashes occurred in Boyd, Jefferson, Madison, Marion, Menifee, Owen and Shelby counties. The crash in Owen County involved the suspected use of alcohol.
Three pedestrian involved crashes occurred in Gallatin, Jefferson and Oldham counties.
