Preliminary statistics* indicate that ten people died in ten separate crashes on Kentucky roadways from Monday, Feb. 20, through Sunday, Feb. 26, 2012.
Eight of the fatalities involved motor vehicles and four victims were not wearing seat belts. Single-fatality crashes occurred in Bell, Clay, Grayson, Hardin (2), Mason, Rowan and Taylor counties.
Two of the fatalities involved pedestrians and occurred in Floyd and Grayson counties.
