Preliminary statistics indicate that 10 people died in 10 separate crashes on Kentucky roadways from Monday, March 7, through Sunday, March 13, 2011.
Seven of the fatalities involved motor vehicles and three of the victims were not wearing seat belts. Single-fatality crashes occurred in Grayson, Harrison, Jefferson, Nelson, Oldham, Spencer and Warren counties. The crashes in Nelson and Warren counties involved the suspected use of alcohol.
One motorcycle involved fatality occurred in Graves County and the victim was wearing a helmet.
