The National Weather Service has issued a tornado watch for portions of southern Indiana, southern Ohio and Kentucky, including Marion County. The tornado warning remains in effect until midnight, April 3.
The NWS forecast for this evening calls for showers and thunderstorms, which could produce heavy rainfall. East winds of 10 to 16 miles per hour, becoming southwest winds, are possible, with gusts as high as 29 miles per hour.
The NWS is predicting a 90 percent chance of precipitation with a half to three-quarters of an inch of rainfall.
