The National Weather Service has issued a tornado watch for several central Kentucky counties, including Marion County.
The tornado watch is in effect until 10 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 17.
A tornado watch is issued when the conditions exist for the possibility of a tornado. A warning is issued when a tornado has been spotted or is indicated by radar.
According to the weather service, showers and thunderstorms are likely throughout the remainder of the day. Low temperatures will be in the mid-40s, and wind gusts of up to 35 miles per hour are possible.
