Tornado watch in effect until 6 p.m.

The National Weather Service in Louisville has issued a tornado watch for Marion County that will remain in effect until 6 p.m.

The National Weather Service has also issued a severe thunderstorm warning for northwestern Marion County, part of central and southern Nelson County and western Washington County.

This afternoon, the National Weather Service doppler radar indicated a severe thunderstorm capable of producing quarter size hail.
