The Lebanon Tourist and Convention Commission met Sept. 27 in executive session to narrow down its list of applicants for the vacant executive director's seat. The commission received 30 applications.

Commission Treasurer Dave Winebrenner said the commissioners narrowed the list to six possible candidates during last week's meeting.

The commission scheduled meetings for 6 p.m. Oct. 4, and 6:35 p.m., Oct. 5. Both meetings include executive sessions to conduct phone/video interviews for executive director candidates.

At a previous meeting, the commission had discussed conducting phone interviews with a small group of candidates and then possibly conducting face-to-face interviews with a few finalists for the position.

The executive director's seat has been vacant since Aug. 19. That was Chris Hamilton's final day before he started a new position as the executive director of the Aurora Area Convention and Visitor's Bureau in Illinois.
