Two people were injured when a tornado pushed a trailer off its foundation near the Marion-Taylor County line Jan. 30.
Pam Colvin, 32, and Jeremy Tyler Colvin, 7, were taken to Spring View Hospital to be treated for minor injuries, according to Marion County Emergency Management Director Hayden Johnson.
Five people were in the trailer at 9727 Calvary Road (Hwy. 208) in Finley when winds blew it off its foundation around 5:30 a.m. Wednesday. Jeremy E. Colvin, 33, James Cody Colvin, 13, and Cheyenne Colvin, 10, were also inside the trailer but they were not injured.
The initial reports indicated the trailer was pushed by straight-line winds, by now officials have confirmed that an EF zero tornado struck the residence, according Johnson.
The trailer was a 14-foot by 70-foot 1979 model, he said.
Johnson said Marion County EMS, Marion County Rescue, the state highway department and Taylor County RECC responded to the scene. Johnson said power lines were down in the area.
He added that Jeff Sullivan, the severe weather meteorologist for the National Weather Service, investigated the scene because there were injuries involved.
Johnson added that there were reports of trees and limbs down in different parts of the county, but no further reports of injuries.
