Two people die in Washington County shooting

The Kentucky State Police are investigating a shooting incident in Washington County that ended with two people dead.

William Woodford, 52 and his mother-in-law Phyllis Tarter, 58, both of Washington County, were found dead early Monday morning inside a house on Brushgrove Road, 12 miles north of Springfield, according to the state police.

The Springfield Police Department received a call at 10:16 p.m. Sunday. The caller reported that a man was threatening suicide at a house on Brushgrove Road, 12 miles north of Springfield.
