Commander Benedict Brown, a retired military chaplain, will be the featured speaker at the 2012 Veterans Day Program at Lebanon National Cemetery.
Brown will speak during the ceremony, which is scheduled for 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 11. American Legion Post 49 and its Ladies Auxiliary and VFW Marple Caldwell Post 5910 are hosting the event.
Brown is a seventh generation Kentuckian. He became an ordained minister for the Archdiocese of Louisville in 1973, and for 20 years, he served parishes in Bardstown, Elizabethtown and Louisville.
