Waterfowling action goes foul

Why would any normally sane individual be up and out at 4 a.m.?
Well, nobody said, or made claim, that waterfowlers were in any way sane! So, being up at 4 a.m. this time of year is, for us, normal.
Our 4 a.m. last Thursday started with breakfast in the shop, in lieu of the duck blind. Course, as soon as we finished it was off to the blind, which is "just down the road a ways."
