William Terry Ward, 63, Lebanon, died Aug. 1, 2008, at Norton Hospital, Louisville.
Born Sept. 3, 1944 in Marion County, Ward was a lifelong member of St. Augustine Catholic Church, a former Community Action Director and Lebanon City Administrator and currently a full professor at St. Catharine College.
He was preceded in death by: his parents, William Richard and Elizabeth Gertrude Downs Ward; and an infant sister, Edna Mae Ward.
He is survived by numerous cousins.
A funeral Mass was held Aug. 5, at St. Augustine Catholic Church with burial in the Stewart's Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. Rev. Jerry Bell officiated.
Pallbearers were Charles Robert Mudd III, Lynn D. Farris, Robert H. Tatum, Corey Zottman, Richard M. Green, James F. Spragens, George W. Martin, Kenneth George, Charles Pearl, and Dr. Bill Huston.
Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to the American Heart Association, the American Diabetes Association, Fund for the Poor, or to St. Catharine College Fund.
Bosley Funeral Home, Lebanon, was in charge of the arrangements.
