    Vacation Bible School
    Open Arms Community Church, 2205 Danville Highway, will have their  “Cave Quest” Vacation Bible School on July 10-14 from 6-8:30 p.m. All pre-school through sixth grade are invited to attend. Free meals will be served each night to kids 18 and under.

    South District Conference
    First Baptist Church of Lebanon invites you to support their annual 149th South District Conference held at the church on N. Depot Street, Lebanon on June 13-15. Donations to support this event may be made by check and mailed to the above address. They are asking local food establishments to support the event by offering a free beverage with the purchase of a meal or discounts for purchased meals with certification of attendance at the conference.   • Fasting before Holy Eucharist

    Christians who routinely attend church services are encouraged to partake in Holy Communion at the culmination of the Mass.
    Although the rules for receiving the Eucharist have remained unchanged for nearly 50 years, some people still have questions concerning the proper way to receive the host. Some may even wonder if the guidelines are the same for children about to receive for the first time.
    The current requirements were introduced in 1964 by Pope Paul VI and are found in Canon 919 of the Code of Canon Law. They state the following:

    Feeding ministry
    Tucker Hill Baptist Church will have their feeding ministry on May 31 at 5:30 p.m. If weather permits, they will gather at the farmer’s market on M.L. King Avenue. If not, they will be at Lebanon United Presbyterian Church, 157 E. Main Street. Enter at the side door on Harrison Street. Everyone is welcome.
