  • Service will be held in Springfield

    Six Presbyterian Church (USA) congregations in Marion, Nelson, Taylor and Washington counties are inviting their members and area residents to attend a worship service on Maundy Thursday, March 28. The service of Holy Communion and Tenebrae, an ancient liturgy meaning “A Service of Shadows,” will be held at 7:30 p.m. at the Pleasant Grove Presbyterian Church, 275 Pleasant Grove Loop, Springfield. The church is located off of Highway 555, five miles north of Springfield.

    World Day of Prayer
    Lebanon United Methodist Church invites everyone to participate in World Day of Prayer on Friday, March 1. The church will be opened from 6 a.m. until 6 p.m. for anyone who would like to come and pray in the quiet of the church. The theme chosen for this year is, “I was a Stranger and You Welcomed Me” taken from the 25th chapter of the Gospel of Matthew.     The Golden Girls of Gospel to perform at Muldraugh Hill Baptist Church
    The Golden Girls of Gospel, a ladies close-harmony gospel group originating in Frankfort, will be singing at Muldraugh Hill Baptist Church at 7 p.m., Sunday Feb. 24. The “Girls” started singing together a few years ago as teenagers and are back together again sharing their infectious style of music that celebrates the love of God for His people.
